### What is Automatic Language Identification?

Automatic Language Identification uses AI-powered technology to detect the spoken floor language in real time. This allows Interprefy AI to work from the correct source language — even in complex event setups.

### When can Automatic Language Identification be used?

Automatic Language Identification is available **only** for events using **Interprefy AI solutions without interpreters (RSI)**. In these events, organisers can choose between:

- **Automatic detection** of the spoken language

- **Manual selection** by professional services or event hosts

### Considerations and Limitations

When planning events with multiple floor languages using Automatic Language Identification, consider the following:

- Limit of up to **10 floor languages** per event.

- **The more floor languages you include**—the higher the probability of **misrecognitions.**

- **Similar-sounding languages** increase the likelihood of errors.

- **Accents matter**: If a non-native speaker speaks with a distinct accent of their mother tongue that is also a floor language, the system might incorrectly identify the spoken language.
