# Does Interprefy support human captioning?

## Interprefy has discontinued support for human captioning through our platform, we recommend using Interprefy ASR captions for your captioning needs. Learn how we can tailor a solution to meet your requirements.

Through the Interprefy platform we can stream live captions **(Interprefy ASR captions)** to your events and meetings anywhere. Users simply access live captioning from an Interprefy application: from our [widget](https://knowledge.interprefy.com/what-interprefy-looks-like-in-event-platforms) in one of over 70 platforms, in a [new browser window](https://knowledge.interprefy.com/how-does-interprefy-select-work-in-a-separate-browser-window), in our [mobile app](https://knowledge.interprefy.com/interprefy-mobile-app-user-guide), or in the meeting room of Interprefy [Connect Pro](https://www.interprefy.com/interpreter-services/connect-pro).

Aside from our **Interprefy ASR** automatic captions, if human captions are still required, you have following options via **StreamText**:

1. Share the **StreamText event link** directly with your audience. For example http://www.streamtext.net/player?event=YourEventName
*You can find additional information about event links here:*https://support.streamtext.net/hc/en-us/articles/210923183-Scheduling-and-Viewing-StreamText-Events

2. Embed a **StreamText player** on your webpage.
*You can find additional information about player embedding here:**https://support.streamtext.net/hc/en-us/articles/210923063-Embedding-streaming-text-with-StreamText-into-your-web-pages*

### Why we recommend Interprefy ASR captions

- **Interprefy ASR captions** have a similar or even shorter time delay than human-generated live captions. The delay between the audio and the Interprefy Captions is usually around two to four seconds, depending on the preferred setting, whereas human-generated captions are usually delayed by around four to seven seconds.

- **Interprefy ASR captions** use best ASR technology and continuously benchmark existing and new ASR systems to offer customers solutions that are best suited for their needs. Our system utilizes linguistic expertise to improve these engines and guide them to capture customer-specific terms and phrases that are typically difficult to capture.

- **Interprefy ASR captions** can be enabled in two different modes. By default, the text will appear within 4 seconds of the speaker having completed a sentence. If 'instant mode' is activated, the text will appear in real-time with rapid auto-correction.

**Please note**

- Although we no longer support human generated captions through our platform interface, we can help source stenographers through our partners if human captions are required alongside our services.

### How Interprefy ASR captions can be displayed
